While the story of Thank God I...® can be dated  back to antiquity… part of its reemergence can be found within the story of the unexpected death of founder and CEO John Castagnini’s mom.
In his own words John explains:

Just as the tons of bricks  that fell from the Towers on 9/11 had changed our world forever, my mom’s sudden death changed me forever. The pain and suffering in my heart were  horrendous on that unimaginable day. It felt as if my breath had been sucked  away right along with hers. 

It was as if I could feel every one of those bricks from the Towers falling on me, one at a time. And each one brought  with it another wave of shock and horror, disbelief and grief. This then was only intensified by my new-found fear of facing life, without my Mother in  it. My Mom was only fifty-six years old. This couldn’t be, I cried...

January 9, 2005 is the day Lorraine Dominica Castagnini passed away. This day ignited a journey that changed John’s life forever. 

As you can imagine, John took the sudden death of his mom really hard. The two of  them were very close. Thank God My Mom Died were the last words John could have possibly imagined he would ever say and mean. Yet he did say them, he did mean them, and he even wrote about them in his story in the first volume of the Thank God I...® book series. They would also be the words that would come to change John's life and the lives of many others...
