People ask me: Are you a philosopher, an artist, musician, a poet, or an inspirational speaker? I believe a philosopher seeks to understand "what is" and an artist expresses what they discover. My life is dedicated to researching and experiencing this universe - sharing with others what I find in this quest so that we all may understand and evolve our human condition. Sometimes I write it, sometimes I speak it, sometimes I fight it, and sometimes I sing it. I keep the "boxes" for my shoes. -John Castagnini

For about two decades, John Castagnini - Founder and CEO of Thank God I…® - has spent his days and nights delving deep beneath the mysteries masking Universal Principles. He discovered not only time tested universal truths, but also techniques - and several modes of inspired expression - to share with humanity. His books and poems, dynamic group presentations, and his music are all paths through which he shares inspiration and wisdom..
Every moment and every person can teach us something about another part of this amazing universe. Knowing this lead John to study great minds who had written about what they found in contemplating life's deep questions. John studied the works of Plato, Einstein, Kant, Newton, Mozart, Aristotle, Socrates, Jung, Marx, Christ, Buddha, Faraday, Milton, Maxwell, Spinoza, Locke and Freud—to name a few. In turn, he attracted great friends who shared priceless wisdom. John discovered that most of the deeper questions in life do have answers: "If we are willing to do the work and sort past our myths there is so much that we can come to understand."
In college, John achieved a B.A. in Biology, went to Chiropractic school, studied with monks from India, and trained with leading martial arts masters. From there, he worked with the world-renowned speaker, Dr. John Demartini. John held seminars with Dr. Demartini and others—such as Dr. Wayne Dyer. In the process of studying for thousands of hours, John also authored several books and shared at seminars around the world, assisting thousands of people who were dealing with a cornucopia of issues. Throughout this process, John recognized a single overwhelming concept: People stop feeling like victims of the challenging events in their lives only when they finally discover a perfect balance and then say "I Thank God" for these circumstances.
As the Universe would have it, many who initially sought out John's help were women who had experienced sexual assault. Thus, he ended up consulting with several women who had experienced rape. One by one, he assisted them to honor the "perfection" in the experience. Even in this horrific experience there was a balance. One of these woman began an entire new career as a radio host, another mastered the martial arts, and just about all of them developed a deeper compassion for others.
He watched the tears of gratitude swell in their eyes as each woman reached the point of saying, "Thank God I was Raped." This insight led John to understand deeply that the underlying concept of finding the "Perfection" in all that we experience, is the greatest wisdom we can have and the greatest skill we can share. This was the genesis of the story, "Thank God I Was Raped" which in turn, birthed the Thank God I...® book series.
Yet, fate would deal John a twist. During this time, John's mom - his best friend - transitioned at age 56. John, having studied this work for a decade by now, took this time to challenge himself to practice what he was preaching. For the first week John experienced the “normal” torturous emotional challenges (he wanted his Mommy back). After a week, however, John made a miraculous conscious discovery while tenaciously pursuing the perfection in his mom’s passing. John realized he was the sole determinant of what his mom’s life and death meant. He already knew that energy and matter could not be created or destroyed, and this experience only reinforced...neither could we. Then, John Experienced the unimaginable...
A month after John's mom passed, he met a 56 year old woman in Florida named Lorraine (John's moms name and "56" was the age at which she had passed). This "other Lorraine" was also from NYC, and was smoking and drinking coffee...just like his mom was known to do. John turned around and with absolute certainty, told his girlfriend that "this Lorraine's" Birthday was January 9th (the day John's mom died). Then, he asked this Lorraine her birthday and she answered, "January 9th"! Once again, this reinforced to John - in clearly visible form - just how true it was that energy and matter truly can't be created or destroyed...it simply changes form.
It was then that John decided to honor the life and death of his mother and wrote his story, "Thank God My Mom Died". Essentially, John's bond with his mom has grown stronger and stronger in her transition.
Through his own experience, John then realized that collecting inspiring stories about people’s transformations through challenging circumstances would help immeasurably twice over. It would not only aid those the event directly affected - allowing them to reach an epiphany through telling their stories and getting to a place of gratitude - but would also benefit the countless other people who would read these stories in the Thank God I…® series. The incredible value of the Thank God I...® series being that anyone—regardless of their life challenges...be it rape, death, or some other turning point—can learn from these inspiring stories. John further developed The Power of Perfection Series to bring the message of The Perfect Idea® and The Perfect Solution® to every person on the planet.
As a result, the inspiring and heart-opening Thank God I...® movement, focusing on a message of "Empowerment" was born. The Thank God I...® Book Series, Education and the Online Empowerment Community, have become a sanctuary for discovering the miraculous healing of the heart and the soul.
