What It Means If Your Partner Won’t Commit
I’d say everyone who’s had their heart broken, been cheated on, neglected, abandoned, toyed with or used for their looks, money or connections… is hesitant to commit. Who wants their heart broken again? Not me!
And it’s totally possible to love someone, but NOT be willing to do the inner work to heal the betrayals of the past.
Many aren’t willing to open their hearts again and simply keep people at arms distance in an ‘attempt’ to stay safe and secure. 💔
I say ‘attempt’ because the fact is that it doesn’t work.
Nothing and no one can ever keep you safe from pain. Pain is part of life.
And no one is the answer to your safety, security or approval. That’s all an inside job. Safety, security and approval is with ourselves, our heart, our soul, our relationship with the Divine.
There is a common misunderstanding that I find with most of my new clients who believe if they find ‘the One’ then they will never get hurt again. Nope…
Even the kindest people forget to put the toilet seat down. Even the most evolved people overreact from time to time. Even if they love you, eventually something will occur in the relationship to challenge you.
And be clear, YOU will hurt them too! Perhaps unintentionally… but you will look at them the wrong way when they feel wobbly and WHAM! They shut down… it’s called Life.
So what’s the solution?
First it’s to stop living in fantasyland and instead come home to reality which is the fact that LIFE is equal pain and pleasure. Equal challenge and support. Day and night. Life and birth. There’s no escape.
AND to know that challenge has benefits, advantages that make you stronger, wiser, more resilient and empathetic to others.
AND that you can learn to lean into challenges and get good at navigating intense emotions. You can learn to dance with the mystery and stop being afraid of the unknown. You can learn to live at peace in your skin even though you can’t control life.
You can learn to see the gift in pain and grow. You can wiggle your way out of the cocoon and fly.
💝 Thus commit first to Self.
💝 To your Soul’s Truth.
💝 To your Heart’s Wisdom.
💝 To your Body’s Knowing.
💝 To your Partnership with Life.
Then commit to partnerships with humans that will never be perfect, they will support you in glorious ways and will challenge you in healthy ways (never put up with physical abuse or unworkable addictions). You can savor the pleasure filled and supportive times and awaken tour latent super powers through the challenging times.
Bottom line is that your partner is not the source of your safety, security, approval and sense of peace in your skin. YOU ARE. You will always have your own back, if you choose.
This will feel like confidence and allow you to open your heart again, stronger from your challenges and share in a fulfilling intimate relationship where the whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
And this will make you super sexy, irresistible and attractive to quality people who see, sense and feel that you are HOME in your heart. 😈😍
And ironically when you stop seeking ‘the one’… you ‘Become The One’ which vibrationally attracts not only your ideal partner, yet your ideal life circumstances (aka, Living The Dream).
If you’re ready to ‘Live the Dream’, to ‘Become The One’, I’d love to show you the way efficiently, efficiently and deliciously. For the past 20 years I’ve broken through my clients’ intimacy blind-spots so they can find, create and keep a thriving relationship with themselves, their family, friends and beloved.
